The Tyrone Junior High Lady Eagles lost a hard fought battle to Huntingdon by a score of 29-18 in Huntingdon on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles got on the board first off the tip as Ariane Miller converted a layup, but Huntingdon broke away as Alix Sellers scored eight points in the first quarter and led 13-6 after one period.
Lady Eagle Casey Baird tallied four points in the second and Tyrone cut the gap to 17-12 by halftime.
Tyrone was outscored in the second half 12-6 and fell to 2-6 on the year.
Baird led all scorers with nine points and Olivia Stever chipped in four despite playing with a bruised elbow.
Tyrone's Lady "B's won their fourth in a row notching a 19-16 win.
Ashley Ford added six points in a solid game for her and Baird poured in a game high 11 points to lead the B team to victory.
The Tyrone junior high girls travel to BEA on Thursday for a 4:00 start.
Tyrone – Ford 2, Mogle 1, Stever 4, Miller 2, Baird 9.
Huntingdon – Neal 4, Fetzer 10, Ar. Sellers 4, Al. Sellers 9, Mykut 2.
