The next Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting at Joe’s Place is scheduled for tomorrow beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The speakers will be Heather Layton, District Manager, and Kelli Ruiz, Program Manager, of Junior Achievement.
The topic will be “Junior Achievement Economic Educational Programming and Purpose Progress Throughout Blair County”.
Layton and Ruiz will discuss how Junior Achievement helps make a difference in young people’s lives by helping them prepare for the future.
They will also discuss the success of Junior Achievement worldwide and locally.
Junior Achievement reached over 70,000 children last year in Western Pennsylvania.
The breakfast is open to the public. However, reservations are appreciated. Tickets are $5 in advance or at the door.

Other upcoming Chamber of Commerce events include Lunch-n-Learn, which is a great opportunity for a delicious meal, informative speakers and a chance to network with business people in the community.
The event will be held Tuesday, October 17 at Burley’s Restaurant from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The presentation entitled “Deep Brain Stimulation: New Hope for Parkinson’s Disease” will be given by Julie Rice-Decker.
Also, the Seventh Annual Tyrone Area Business and Career Expo is scheduled for Thursday, October 19 at the Tyrone Area High School gymnasium from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
