It’s time again for the Seventh Annual Tyrone Area Business and Career Expo, which is scheduled for Thursday at the Tyrone Area High School Gymnasium from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For this year’s event, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes students and the public free of charge.
Holding the event in the gymnasium allows the Chamber to host a great many more exhibitors than in previous years.
Those scheduled to attend the Expo include: Gardner’s Candies, U.S. Air Force, H & R Block, Cowfer’s Custom Design, Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, Princess House Products, Mount Aloysius College, Empire Beauty School, The Daily Herald, Greater Altoona Career Technology Nursing Center, Allegheny College of Maryland, DuBois Business College, Triangle Tech and the Greater Altoona Career Technology Center.
Also, the National Guard, Computer Learning Network, DelGrosso Amusement Park, Central PA Institute of Science and Technology, Pennsylvania State Police, Prounto’s, U.S. Navy, PS Printing, U.S. Technical Institute, United States Army and Army Reserves, South Hills School of Business and Technology, Tyrone Hospital, Cambria-Rowe Business College and Penn State Altoona.
Some exhibitors may appear the day of the event as well.
The Chamber will continue on Thursday with a Business After Hours event, scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m., hosted by the Tyrone Area School District. A tour of the new middle school will be conducted during Business After Hours. If anyone hasn’t seen the new middle school, this would be the perfect time to do so.
