Tyrone\’s Junior High Lady Eagles fought tooth and nail with Huntingdon but came up short 40-30 .
Playing in the new middle school gymnasium Tyrone battled the Lady Bearcats and actually led at halftime 18-16.
Mara Hawes played tough inside and scored six of her game high eight points in the first half.
Huntingdon’s Alix Sellers led all scorers with 12 points as the Lady Bearcats went ahead for good on Jen Coreelius\’ 3-pointer midway thru the third peiod.
Casey Baird also contributed eight points for Tyrone.
Tyrone falls to 3-12 and will host Bellwood Antis on Monday at 3:15 p.m.
