The Bellwood-Antis girls volleyball squad dropped their final regular season match to Bishop Guilfoyle’s Lady Marauders at the Bellwood-Antis Senior High gymnasium on Thursday evening. Bishop Guilfoyle duplicated an earlier decision over the Lady Blue Devils, winning in four games 3-1.
BG won 19-25, 25-20, 26-24 and 25-11.
The Lady Blue Devils won the first game and went toe-to-toe with the BG girls, who improve to 14-4, but fell a little short to finish their regular season with a 15-3 record.
Chelsea Wilson had 15 kills and two blocks to go with half a dozen service points for the Lady Blue Devils, whose only losses this season have been to Altoona and BG (twice). Jannell Wilt had 15 digs and Lauren Leap contributed 22 assists. Rachel Albright had nine service points and Andrea Gardner and Alyson Sharer each added six service points for Bellwood-Antis.
Kara Schroder led Bishop Guilfoyle with seven blocks and 12 kills, Brittany Shank had 10 kills and Kira Boland had 34 digs. Megan Nagle had 13 service points for BG, while Shank had 12 and Schroder added 10.
The Bishop Guilfoyle junior varsity improved to 16-2 winning two close games, taking 25-19 and 25-20 decisions.
