TASD opens doors to public for
American Education Week
In recognition of American Education Week, the Tyrone Area School District is opening its doors to the community and offering citizens a chance to visit and view contemporary public education.
Visitation for the elementary, middle, and high schools is scheduled for Friday, November 17 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Parents, guardians and other community members who are interested in seeing what an average day is like at the Tyrone Area Schools are welcome to visit. Individuals do not need to know a student, teacher or faculty member who is present during this time.
Those interested may enter the school’s main office on November 17. Individuals will be asked to sign in and will be given a visitor’s pass. If visitors know the teacher of a particular student, they may visit that classroom. Visitors may also choose to go to a classroom based on a certain subject or activity that is being taught at that time.
