Edward Umholtz, 46, of 4337 North US No. 421 Medaryville, Indiana died at his home Sunday morning, November 12 in a house fire.
He was born in Gary, Indiana on January 22, 1960, a son of the late Leonard M. and Anna (White) Umholtz.
He lived most of his adult life in Newton County.
In November 1979, in Newton County, Indiana, he married Donna Baker who survives.
He attended Tyrone Schools and was an auto mechanic and tool and die operator.
He is survived by three sons: Dale Lee (Susan) Skinner of Monticello, Ind., Edward King Jr. of Medaryville and Jeremiah James (Jessica) Umholtz of Logansport, Ind.; five grandchildren; three sisters: Rose Marie (Ronald) Dawson of Kentland, Ind., Carol Lynn (Harry) Atkinson of Missouri and Shirley A. (Larry) Wilford of Medaryville, Ind.; one brother: Wallace (Cynthia) Umholtz of Altoona and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 16 at the Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Officiating Clergyman will be Rusty Shields.
Memorials are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers.
Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Morocco.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 17 at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco.
