An 18-year-old Tyrone woman escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 220, approximately two miles north of the Bald Eagle intersection in Snyder Township on Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m.
Police said Samantha Lee Friday lost control of her car on the slippery road. The car impacted a drainage ditch.
Friday was wearing a seat belt. Her car had moderate damage.

A 53-year-old Altoona man escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Lower Riggles Gap Road in Antis Township last Friday at 3:35 p.m.
Police said John M. Bravin was traveling east along the road and entered a curve. That part of the road had ice that had been blown on it. Bravin’s car slid off the road and glanced off a tree. Its right front corner hit the tree. The right front corner/quarter panel sustained disabling damage in the collision.
Bravin was wearing a seat belt. Police were assisted by Pinecroft EMS. Towing was provided by Russell’s.

A two-vehicle accident led to a passenger in one of the vehicles being injured last Friday in Antis Township.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on State Route 4018 in the area of the railroad tracks. Police said a car operated by Eric Kirsch was traveling east on the road and was rounding a downhill curve to the right. Kirsch lost control of his vehicle on the icy road and crossed into the westbound lane of traffic. A truck operated by Russell Kensinger of Martinsburg was approaching in the opposite direction traveling west. Kensinger attempted to avoid Kirsch’s car but ended up hitting the rear of it and then drove into a set of guide rails along the road.
Kirsch and Kensinger were not injured. A passenger in Kensinger’s truck, Alice Kensinger of Martinsburg, suffered a leg injury.
Kirsch’s car had minor damage while Kensinger’s truck had moderate damage. State police were assisted at the scene by Bellwood Ambulance and the Pinecroft Vol. Fire Co.

A Tyrone driver, Sharon McKeehen, escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Becker Road, one mile east of State Route 4015, in Antis Township last Friday at 8:04 a.m.
State police said McKeehen was traveling east on the road down a hill when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy road. Her vehicle went off the road and traveled up an embankment causing it to roll onto its side.
The vehicle came to a rest on the westbound lane of travel on its side. The woman’s Chevy Blazer had light damage, according to the police release on the incident.
