An area furniture store was burglarized on Dec. 9.
Hollidaysburg state police investigated an overnight burglary at Windy Hill Furniture on Route 453 between Tyrone and Water Street.

A Millmont, PA woman, 22-year-old Heather Baker, was involved in a one-vehicle accident on I-99 South at the Bellwood exit on Dec. 9 at 1:45 p.m.
Police said Baker’s car hit a deer. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Two passengers, 19-year-old Elizabeth Phillips and a 17-year-old boy also escaped injury. The car sustained moderate damage.

Snappy’s convenience store was the scene of a pump-and-run incident on Dec. 9 at 7:05 p.m.
Police said someone in a large silver-colored SUV pumped $54 worth of gas and then drove off without paying for it. The vehicle left the lot and headed north on State Route 220 towards Port Matilda.

A Tyrone woman was involved in an accident on Van Scoyoc Road (SR 4033) in Snyder Township on Dec. 11 at 3:35 p.m.
Police said 18-year-old Jayne McPhail was traveling east and said she encountered a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction in her lane of travel. She swerved to the right and avoided colliding with the vehicle. She then swerved to the left and over-steered, which caused the vehicle to spin counterclockwise and out of control. Her SUV skidded across both lanes and entered a ditch along the northern edge of the road, coming to a final rest facing west.
McPhail was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. A 17-year-old female passenger from Tyrone was also wearing her seat belt and was not hurt. The SUV had disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.

State police investigated a retail theft incident that happened Monday afternoon at the Sunshine Surplus store along State Route 1013 near State Route 453 in Tyrone Township.
A 16 and 15-year-old boy, both of Huntingdon County, were caught shoplifting at the store. An administrative-only (non-judicial) prosecution was initiated against the actors.
