Tyrone’s seventh grade basketball team hosted a squad from Hollidaysburg Saturday aftenoon and soundly defeated their opponent in a lopsided event, 55-9.
Cody Dickson (10 points) and Tyler Friday (five points) led the Eagles offensively, while Nick Romano and Jordon Corl led the team defensively. Every member of the Eagles squad scored in this event, a feat seldom accomplished at any level.
The season record to date is 5-1.
The Eagles pick up the action this week on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. taking on Roosevelt at their gymnasium, and Saturday, Jan. 6 visit the Building II against the Bishop Guilfoyle eighth grade.
