Catherine Marie Davis, 83, formerly of Reightown, and a long-time resident of Moran’s Home, Bellwood, died Tuesday morning, December 19, 2006 at Beverly Healthcare-Hillview, Altoona.
She was born in Antis Township on June 3, 1923, a daughter of Frank L. and Emma Catherine (Weaver) Wogan.
She was married February 14, 1947 at Petersburg, Va. to Clyde Earl Davis who died November 30, 1994.
She is survived by two sons: Edward I. Davis (Karla) of RD2 Tyrone and Timothy E. Davis (Mari) of Huntsville, Alabama; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Brian, Mitchel, Dustin, Maranda, Dyllon and Timmy; 17 great-grandchildren and a sister Beverley J. Emerick of Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Brett T. Davis and a brother Hayward E. Wogan.
She was a graduate of Bellwood High School and a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, N. 4th St. Bellwood.
She was employed as a clerk at the Dillen Grocery Store, Bellwood and the Bellwood I.G.A.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating.
Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday.
