Grandview Road in Antis Township was the scene of a one car accident on January 9.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Alice McLaughlin, age 42 of Blandburg was traveling north at the above location. For unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guiderail west of the roadway. The vehicle then flipped onto its roof and came to final rest off the roadway. McLaughlin was arrested for DUI and was transported to Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus for blood tests. Tests show she was above the legal limit.
Charges will be filed against McLaughlin for DUI and other related traffic offenses at the office of Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller.

Two juveniles from Greentree Village in Snyder Township were in an incident of disorderly conduct on January 9.
The incident occurred as the two male juveniles, ages 15 and 16 fled from the Greentree Village Juvenile Detention Center. The two boys were later located walking along Old Rt. 220 near the Northwood area. They immediately fled into a large wooded area where they eventually fell into a nearby river. The two juveniles were located soon after in Tyrone Borough and failed to continue their escape due to their water soaked clothing in the severe cold weather.

SR 99 in Snyder Township was the location of a one car accident on January 10.
Thomas Gass, age 38 of Danville, lost control of his 2001 Freightliner Truck Tractor on a slippery road. He blocked both lanes on SR 99. The truck’s fuel tank ruptured.
Gass was not injured and was wearing his seat belt.

PA State Police at Phlipsburg reported a one car accident on SR 550 in Halfmoon Township January 9.
Chad Barto, ago 21 of Warriors Mark was traveling north and lost control on the lightly snow covered roadway. His vehicle, a 1990 GMC Truck, slid off the road and the right front impacted a dirt embankment.
Barto’s truck received moderate damage. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The following is an update to a case previously reported.
Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment were filed in front of Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller against Curtis Wayne McCaulley, age 57 of Bellwood.
These charges are in relation to a January 8 domestic incident at his residence. When police arrived, McCaulley allegedly threw coffee and proceeded to spit on the police officer. McCaulley then attempted to strike the police officer with closed fists.
A preliminary hearing is pending.
