Once again as we head into March, Curves of Tyrone will be participating in the Curves Food Drive to benefit local food banks.
Each March, the women’s gym collects food for local food banks, while encouraging women to join together at Curves and start getting healthy.
Last year, the Curves Food Drive collected 11 million pounds of food for local communities all over the world.
To celebrate the generosity of the community, Curves is waiving its normal service fee for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and joins between March 1 and March 10.
Last year more than 247,940 new members joined Curves during the Food Drive.
Others wishing to donate may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Saturday during business hours throughout the month of March.
“The Curves Food Drive promotion is always exciting,” said Karen Sandusky, manager of Tyrone Curves.
“We have a chance to help so many people at a time when the food banks are lowest, while we assist more women in reaching their fitness and weight loss goals.
“It’s a win-win situation for everyone, and we’re very proud to participate.”
With over 10,000 locations worldwide, Curves is the largest fitness franchise and the fastest growing franchise company in history.
More than four million women belong to the Curves community.
Curves Clubs can be found in over 42 countries, including the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, The Caribbean, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, and it continues to grow.
Curves is the first fitness and weight loss facility dedicated to providing affordable, one-stop exercise and nutritional information for women.
Tyrone Curves is located on Old Route 220, next to the Dollar General.
