Members of the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library have begun the task of securing the corporate sponsorships for this year’s big annual fundraising concert to be held Saturday, April 21 at the Tyrone Area High School auditorium.
This year’s show will have the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start promptly at 7 p.m.
“Our corporate sponsors have been so very good to us over the previous six years,” said library concert chairman, Chuck Banas. “The package that these sponsors purchase is the life-line of our concert series. I really cannot express how grateful we are for this tremendous support.”
Corporate sponsors will be called over the next two weeks and they may select at that time the package that they would like to utilize to support this year’s library concert fundraiser. All of the money that is made from the concert series has been going towards supporting the payoff of the mortgage on the library located in downtown Tyrone. To date these annual fundraisers have brought in over $46,000 for the library.
“I feel confident that we will be able to reach all of our corporate sponsors by the end of the month,” said Banas. “If for some reason your business has not been contacted by the end of the month you may call the library at 682-1017 and secure a package.”
General ticket sales will go on sale for the general public starting Thursday, March 1. The tickets will be $30 each and all seating is reserved seating. The following ticket locations have been established in downtown Tyrone to better serve the local area. Tickets may be purchased at Bressler’s Food Mart and Sports, Kopp Drug and the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library. The tickets are also available by telephone beginning Thursday, March 1 by calling the library at 682-1017. All tickets are on a first come first serve basis.
More information will be following as it is made available. The library is planning on announcing the line up for this year’s show in a press release to come out on Saturday, February 24. Then each week after the initial line up announcement the library will feature one of the groups with a complete photo and background on each.
