Nickolas J. Maisano, 69, of Easton, Maryland passed away March 10, 2007 at the University of Md. Medical Center due to heart failure.
He was born October 2, 1937 in Tyrone.
He received his Master’s Degree in education from Shippensburg University. He taught in Anne Arundel County, Md. schools for 33 years, teaching business at Arundel H.S. and Meade H.S. He coached football for several years and started a wrestling program at Arundel High School.
He served with the Air Force from 1955-1959 and was a member of Zeta Tau Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at Shippensburg University and was a member of Colerain Fishing Club in Spruce Creek.
He enjoyed fishing, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon A. (Sheaffer) Maisano; a son, Aaron Michael Maisano of Pasadena, Md.; a daughter, Elaine M. Wilburt or Easton, Md.; four grandchildren; brothers: James Maisano of Colorado Springs, Co., Tony Maisano of Harrisburg, Frank Maisano of Carlisle and Joseph Maisano of Harrisburg and sisters: Jean Sweeney of Altoona, Josie Eyer of Catawba, Va., Ginny Dimon of Fairfax, Va. and Cil Romano of Lewisburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Rudolph Maisano and his mother, Virginia Teresa (Turiano) Maisano.
Visitation was held Wednesday, March 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy., S.E., Glen Burnie, Md. 21061.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Sparks officiating.
Interment will be at the Chapel of the Eastern Shore MD Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Md.
Funeral arrangements are by Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home.
