Easter is a time when Christians reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Many churches around the country demonstrate this message through an Easter presentation. This year, a local young man is directing one of these dramatic performances. Josh Shaffer, a senior at Tyrone High School, is a talented young man with a heart for music ministry. He has taken on the task to direct the musical entitled, “Who Will Call Him King of Kings” at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God this weekend.
Josh has been involved in leading worship for many years at Pleasant Valley Assembly as well as partnering with several other ministries for worship throughout the state. Josh will be majoring in music at Valley Forge Christian College in the fall.
Pleasant Valley Assembly of God of Altoona is bringing this life-changing message to the stage based upon the story of Paul and Silas in prison and the transformation that takes place in a person’s life as they keep faith in Jesus even in times of great difficulty.
The performances are March 30, 31 and April 1. Each performance is at 7 p.m. with a special matinee performance on Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $4. Call the office at 944-1948 for tickets.
