The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce is always busy planning special events for the local business community.
First up, the Chamber and the Small Business Development Center Saint Francis University has scheduled to present an “Anatomy of a Business Plan Seminar”.
The first step in starting a business is to write a comprehensive business plan. This plan becomes a tool to manage the business and becomes necessary when the business owner needs to obtain financing to launch the business operation.
“The Anatomy of a Business Plan” seminar will provide a clear, simple step-by-step explanation of the business planning process, broken down into three areas: Business Narrative, Financial Section and the Supporting Documents that the plan will need to complete the total business foundation.
The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Burley’s Restaurant, 954 Pennsylvania Avenue, Tyrone. The seminar is $20 per person and includes breakfast and all materials. Seating is limited.

Next up, the Chamber’s monthly Business After Hours event is scheduled to be held at Burley’s Fine Dining Restaurant. The Business After Hours is scheduled for Thursday, May 17 from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
Business After Hours offers great networking opportunities, and complimentary hors D’oeuvres will be provided.
