PennDOT announced that the north bound exit ramp to Tyrone from I-99, will be closed nightly from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., beginning Aug. 21 and extending through Aug. 24 in order to make concrete slab repairs to the ramp.
A detour will be in place during the overnight hours while work is being completed. Detour signs will be in place prior to each night’s closing. The detour will take north bound drivers off of I-99 at the Grazierville exit and direct them onto Old Route 220 (Route 4027) and into Tyrone to the intersection of 10th Street and Route 453.
Work is being completed by H.R.I. Inc., of State College. The $509,785 project is being funded with 100 percent state monies.
