Quarter-Finals
August 9th
Albemarle, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park and One-on-One Fitness all showed their playoff seeds were correct with wins in the quarterfinals of the Reservoir Park Basketball League got into high gear on Aug. 9.
Albemarle, the number two seed crushed Tipton Medical 112-86, behind a 43-point scoring binge by Byron Kost. Tipton Medical received 28 points from Josh Clark.
DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, unefeated during the regular season and the top seed, cruised by Tyrone Milling/Bell Lineboring 89-40. Tyler Beckwith led DelGrosso’s Amusement Park with 19 points, while Rick Hamp and Luke Hoover each tallied 9 Tyrone Milling/Bell Lineboring.
Third seed One-on-One defeated Flash 91-70 in the third game reported. League scoring champ Mike Dan poured in 43 points to lead One-on-One Fitness, and Mark Kosoglow led Flash with 23 points.
In the only contest that went away from the high seed beating low seed format, it was fifth seed Napa Auto defeating the number four seeded Shoe Fly 60-49. Kyle Updike had 18 point for Napa Auto, while Aaron Jefferies led Shoe Fly with 16.
Semi-Finals
August 16th
In Thursday night’s semifinals, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park spanked Napa Auto 92-62 with Ricky Shannon scoring 28 points for DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. Kyle Updike scored 26 points for Napa Auto.
In the other semifinal, the number three seed, One-on-One slipped by second seed Albemarle 71-69. Albemarle’s Tyler Mertiff outscored Mike Dan, the league’s top scorer for One-on-One, 23-22, but it wasn’t enough for his team to pull it out.
Championship Game
Thursday August 23rd
In the championship finals on Aug. 23, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park (9-0) will meet One-on-One Fitness (6-3)at 8 p.m. at Reservoir Park. Although DelGrosso’s Amusement Park rocked through ther regular season undefeated, the last time these two met One-on-One Fitness pushed DelGrosso’s Amusemant Park into overtime before DelGroddo’s finally was able to pull out a 65-57 in OT.

League Scoring Champion is Mike Dan from One-on-One Fitness from State College, with a 22.67 average. He edged out local standouts Mark Mitchell (21.6) and Byron Kost (20.6).
Championship Trophy, Shirts and Scoring Champion Trophy will be presented following the Championship Game this Thursday at Reservoir Park.
In Case of rain, the Championship Game will be played at Northern Blair Rec Center.
