The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce works hard to provide monthly events for area businesses and individuals.
To begin with, Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce breakfast is scheduled at Joe’s Place, starting at 7:30 a.m.
The guest speaker is scheduled to be Jackie Atherton Bernard, Deputy District Attorney. The guest on hand will be Assistant District Attorney Terry Tomassetti.
The topic of discussion will be “The War On Drugs In Blair County”.
Reservations are appreciated for the Chamber breakfasts. For more information, call Executive Director Rose Black at 684-0736; fax: 684-6070 or email: rose@tyronechamber.com.
Next, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce Advantage Night is set for Thursday, October 18. The time for the event has changed for this month to be held from 4 to 6 p.m., hosted by the Tyrone Area School District.
This event coincides with the Chamber’s annual Business and Career Expo, which will be held the same day, and there will be free admission to the Expo at the high school gymnasium and lobby area.
Chamber Advantage Nights offer great networking opportunities, as participants can meet with their friends and business associates for an enjoyable evening.
Chamber Advantage Nights are $5 per person, prepaid, and the RSVP date is Monday, October 15.
Finally, experience the visual and culinary arts in Tyrone at “An Evening With The Arts”, a celebration of local talent, on October 24 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The seating is limited to the first 40 people, and tickets are $35 per person.
The evening will start out with appetizers at Antique Keeper Annex, which will be prepared as art gallery No. 1. At approximately 6:15 p.m., participants will progress to Burley’s Restaurant for art gallery No. 2 and dinner. To end the evening, everyone will take a stroll to Gardners Candies for art gallery No. 3, dessert and coffee or tea.
