Threw gravel in woods
On October 17, state police reported an act of criminal mischief on S. 2nd Street in the village of Grazierville, Snyder Township. Harold Sprankle of Tyrone was charged with summary criminal mischief after he intentionally shoveled approximately $250 worth of gravel off the driveway of Timothy Barr, also of Tyrone, and threw the gravel into the woods.

Truck/motorcycle crash
State police reported on October 22 an accident involving a small pick-up truck and motorcycle along Loveville Rd. at Halfmoon Valley Rd., SR 550, Halfmoon Township. Leanne Renee Stine, 26, Warriors Mark was traveling on her Kawasaki streetbike west on Loveville Rd. approaching the intersection of SR 550. Alicia Romaniec, 32, Pine Grove Mills, was traveling in her Dodge Dakota south on SR 550 making a left turn onto Loveville Rd. Stine turned too sharp into the oncoming lane of travel on Loveville Rd. at the intersection and struck Romaniec’s truck in the front, pushing it approximately 20 feet. Romaniec was not injured and was wearing her seat belt. Stine was wearing her helmet, suffered minor injuries and treated at Tyrone Hospital. She was transported by her family. Summary traffic citation to be filed before District 49-2-01.

Access device fraud
On October 23 along SR 4019, south of Bellwood Borough, Antis Township, an unknown actor(s) used a debit card belonging to Teddi Loraine Seabrooks, 51, Tyrone without her consent. A purchase was made for $1,232.94. The investigation is continuing.

Lost control
A crash occurred on October 23 when Nicholas A. Diehl of Tyrone was traveling south bound on SR 550, near Granny Lane, Halfmoon Township around a curve to the left, when Diehl lost control of his 1984 Pontiac Fiero on the wet roadway. The vehicle spun in clockwise motion as it traveled off the roadway onto the west berm. Diehl then struck a tree with the vehicle’s left front side. Diehl was wearing a seat belt. A citation will be filed against Diehl.

Van slides into school bus
State police reported on October 23 an accident along SR 1013, Sinking Valley Road, Tyrone Township. Suzanne Townsend of Duncansville was operating a Honda van with a 10-year-old female and 7-year old-male passenger, going north on Kettle Rd. and Marleen Snyder of Altoona was traveling south operating an Altoona Area School District bus. Townsend and her van were unable to negotiate a right curve on the wet road and slid into the south bound lane. The right front of the van hit the right front of the bus. Everyone involved was wearing seat belts. All parties were taken to Altoona Hospital for treatment. No children were on the school bus when the accident occurred.
