The 2007 Annual Powder Puff football game, sponsored by Tyrone Elks Lodge, was held at Gray-Vets field on Friday. The senior girls faced the junior girls in a flag football game that was coached by members from the Golden Eagle football team. The seniors won with a score of 34 – 0. Proceeds from this game benefit the Ellenberger Scholarship (presented to a senior member of the Tyrone Golden Eagle football team) each year. Other programs that benefit from this event are the Elks Drug Awareness program as well as youth activities. (The Daily Herald/Steve Michaels)
