Correction on truck/motorcycle crash
State police reported on October 22 an accident involving a small pick-up truck and motorcycle along Loveville Rd. at Halfmoon Valley Rd, SR 550 Halfmoon Township. Leanne Renee Stine, 26, Warriors Mark was traveling on her Kawasaki streetbike west on Loveville Rd. approaching the intersection of SR 550. Alicia Romaniec, 32, Pine Grove Mills was traveling in her Dodge Dakota south on SR 550 making a left turn onto Loveville Rd. Romaniec turned too sharp into the oncoming lane of travel on Loveville Rd. at the intersection and struck Stine and her motorcycle in the front, pushing it approximately 20 feet. Stine was wearing her helmet, suffered minor injuries and treated at Tyrone Hospital. She was transported by her family to the hospital. Romaniec was not injured and was wearing her seat belt. Summary traffic citation to be filed before District 49-2-01.

Hit deer
On October 30, state police reported a one vehicle crash in the village of Skelp, Tyrone Township involving Thaddeus White, 30, Bellwood. White was traveling east on SR 1008 in his 1997 Jeep Wrangler. A deer ran onto the roadway and into White’s travel lane. At point of impact, White’s jeep impacted the deer in the east travel lane, then impacting a utility pole with the front of his jeep. After impact, White and his jeep rolled onto its right side and came to rest facing east. The utility pole fell across both lanes of SR 1008. As a result of the damage, power and phone service in the area was disrupted. White was wearing his seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Bellwood Volunteer Fire Co., Bellwood EMS and Bellwood Fire Police arrived and assisted at the scene.

Stole gas
State police reported on October 31 at Rossi’s Corner Store in Tipton, a white male actor pumped $10.02 worth of gas and then told the employee he would be back to pay because he forgot his wallet. The person never returned. Investigation continues.

Terroristic threats
On October 31, Patrice Reffner of Altoona told police that someone known to her threatened her with physical harm at her residence along Grandview Rd., Antis Township. Investigation continues.

DUI
State police reported John Edward Quick, 43, Tipton was stopped for a traffic violation on November 3 along SR 4027 Tipton, Antis Township. Police stated Quick was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
