State Rep. Jerry Stern (R-Blair) will honor northern Blair County veterans at a special service to be held at Christ United Methodist Church.
During the event, veterans will be honored with a medal and a certificate of appreciation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Stern’s office said they had 86 responses from World War II veterans or someone in their family for recognition at the patriotic service scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.
The program will be carried live over local radio station WTRN.
World War II veterans will be recognized; however, all veterans and those serving in the Armed Forces and their families and friends are welcome to attend.
A special program is being planned.
