High school football season officially started last evening when the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils and the Tyrone Golden Eagles battled for bragging rights at Gray Memorial Field. Fans, young and old, packed into the stadium for this annual rivalry, where this year, the Eagles prevailed 27-6, despite a respectable effort from the Blue Devils. Win or lose, what makes a memorable football season for Bellwood and Tyrone is the loyal and dedicated fans, cheerleaders and band members who attend every game, at home or away, and generate the tremendous team spirit.
