Update on home burglary
On December 1, state police issued an update on a home burglary the night of Friday, September 21 at the residence of Steven and Kelly Walker on Floral Drive in Tyrone. Criminal charges have been filed against a 16-year-old Tyrone male; the case will proceed through the Blair County Juvenile Court System. It was a forced entry into the Walker residence through a ground floor window. Once inside the culprit(s) removed jewelry, electronics items and a small quantity of alcohol. Police said a loss of $1,800 for the stolen property was tentatively set and $100 for the damaged window. The investigation continues, and additional arrests are possible. Two vehicle crash
State police reported a two vehicle accident along SR 220 in Snyder Township on November 27. The crash occurred as both drivers involved were traveling north along SR 220. As Sheilah M. Emerick, 36, Tyrone was stopped to make a right turn into a driveway, her vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Christopher P. Connors, 36, Sewickley. Connors was wearing a seat belt and suffered no injuries. Emerick was also belted and suffered minor injuries.

Didn’t pay for the gas
Nicholas Duane Riggleman, 28, Warriors Mark was cited by state police on November 29 for retail theft after he pumped $15.04 worth of gasoline at Rossi’s Corner Store and failed to pay for it.

Driving too fast
Andrew S. Rizzardo, 26, RD 5 Tyrone, was cited by state police for driving too fast for road conditions. The incident occurred on December 1, along I-99 just north of Kettle Street, Logan Township. Rizzardo was wearing a seat belt.

Lost control on snowy road
On December 2, state police reported an accident along SR 453 approximately 100 yards from the Blair County line, Warriors Mark Township. Carol Zimmerman, 46, Tyrone was northbound on SR 453 when she lost control on the snow covered roadway. Zimmerman’s vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a rock embankment, which then led to her vehicle rolling over onto its left side and came to rest in the middle of SR 453 facing southeast. Zimmerman was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Tyrone Hospital by Tyrone AMED. Assisting state police at the scene were Tyrone fire and ambulance companies.
