The storm is expected to spread its snow into the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic Saturday. During the overnight hours into Sunday, the storm is expected to intensify into a major “nor’easter” across the Northeast.
Saturday’s weather calls for a 70 percent chance of morning snow, then snow likely in the afternoon with light accumulation. Temperatures will be cooler, with highs around 30.
Saturday night is when the heavy snow is expected to begin, with the chance of snow near 100 percent.
Sunday is expected to see a 50 percent chance of scattered snow showers, with highs around 30.
