Over $121,000 stolen
Pennsylvania State Police in Hollidaysburg reported Crystal Colyer, 39, Tyrone, a former employee of Lion Country Supply Inc. in Port Matilda, has been charged with stealing over $121,000 from the company over a span of time beginning July of 2005 to October of 2007.
Colyer was arraigned on February 8, 2008 before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller for charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition and Receiving Stolen Property. She was released on $500,000 unsecured bail.

DUI collision
On February 9, state police reported a DUI collision occurred along Main Street in Bellwood Borough. Heidi Lynn Garman, 22, Tyrone and her two-year-old son was traveling along Main Street when she crossed the center line and impacted a vehicle driven by Shirley Ann Javit, 54, Altoona. Garman’s vehicle then impacted a telephone pole.
Garman was found to be intoxicated and will be charged with DUI, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, and endangering the welfare of children.
The child in Garman’s vehicle was removed from her custody by Blair County Children and Youth Services, pending a hearing.

Struck a tree
Pennsylvania State Police in Huntingdon reported on February 9 a crash along SR 0453 in Morris Township. The crash occurred as Kenneth E. Cupp, 45, Tyrone was traveling south along SR 0453 near Hilltop Lane. Cupp lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and struck a tree with the passenger’s side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Cupp was wearing his seat belt.
