Diabetic emergency
On Feb. 15, state police reported Helen C. Orlowsky, 86, Altoona was traveling on the southbound ramp to I-99 in Antis Twp. when she became ill due to a diabetic emergency. Orlowsky traveled off the roadway and onto the west shoulder where her vehicle struck a dirt embankment.

Stolen vehicle
State police reported on Feb. 17 that a gold 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, PA registration GLT-6392 was stolen from the residence of Harlyn James Collier, 77, of RD4 Box 36C, Tyrone. The vehicle was stolen as it was parked under Collier’s car port at his residence. Anyone with any information regarding the vehicle and or the persons involved in the theft of the vehicle is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police at Hollidaysburg at 814-696-6100.

Two vehicle crash
On Feb. 18 along SR 220 and 3rd St. in Snyder Twp., state police reported a two vehicle crash as BilliJo Green, 37, Tyrone attempted to make a left turn from a side street along SR 220. Green pulled directly into the path of a vehicle driven by Janis Shomo, 61, Tyrone. The front of Shomo’s vehicle struck the driver’s side door of Green’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Green suffered minor injuries, and Shomo was not injured.

Criminal mischief
State police reported on Feb. 19 an act of criminal mischief at the Teaberry St. development in Snyder Twp. Andrew J. Boyles, 22, Altoona broke a glass door window and put a hole in a wall at an apartment rented by Cherrie L. Grassmyer, 20, Tyrone. Boyles will be cited for criminal mischief at District Magisterial Justice Fred Miller’s office in Tyrone.
