Members of the Church of the Good Shepherd are keeping busy with various activities planned for the upcoming months.
Currently, the church is hosting Lenten youth breakfasts each Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. Area youth are invited to bring a friend and stop by for breakfast before school.
There is also one more Lenten luncheon planned for March 12 when Pastor Paul Bottenfield will be the speaker. The luncheon will be held at noon, with preparation by Birmingham Presbyterian Church. .
The Holy Week schedule of services was also announced.
On Palm Sunday, traditional worship service will be held at 9 a.m. with Sunday school at 10:10 a.m. A contemporary/praise service is scheduled for 11:15. Also, prayer group will be held at 5 p.m. and evening worship at 7 p.m.
On Holy Thursday and Good Friday, worship service will begin at 7 p.m.
A sunrise service is planned for Easter Sunday and more details will be released.

Anyone who would like to order lilies for Easter services should do so by March 9. The lilies may be ordered to be placed in the sanctuary in honor or in memory of family members and friends. The cost is $7 per pot.
A new testament disciple Bible study group is currently in the works to be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the downstairs classroom.
Interested individuals are asked to sign up at the information table by March 24. Classes will be held April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and May 7, 14 and 21.
Also, as a reminder, there are collection bins for food, aluminum cans, ink cartridges and Mission Central items in the hallway, by the mailboxes. Proceeds from the aluminum go to help the church engineers and ink cartridges go to the Agape fund.
