Tyrone Rotary Club announces Christmas parade line-up

The Rotary Club of Tyrone is still calling on area clubs, organizations and businesses to register for the annual Tyrone area Christmas parade to be held on Friday, December 5 at 6:15 p.m.
Judging will take place, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners for “Best in Parade”.
Before the parade, at 6 p.m., there will be the annual tree lighting at the post office with Cary Simpson of WTRN broadcasting live. He will be joined by the K-4 program students of Tyrone Area School District, who will be Christmas caroling on the steps.
Groups still interested in signing up for the parade should contact Gunter Volders at 684-0747 or Rose Black at the Chamber office at 684-0736.
This is not a complete or final list for the parade but those registered to date: Tyrone Fire Police, Tyrone Police, Tyrone Milling’s Draft Horse Hitch of Percheron Horses, American Red Cross, Star-Lite Twirlers, TACO, Tyrone Area School Marching Band, Tyrone FFA, AMED and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Also, Andy Teeters and Gang, Cub Scout Pack 103, Cub Scout Pack 300, Best Buy, Grace Baptist Church, Altoona Curve, Pam’s Chargers, Bald Eagle UM Parish – King’s Kids, Saint Matthew School/Knights of Columbus, Dream Twirlers, Hookies Fire Company, Girl Scout Service Unit 4620, Kelly Wike – Agent State Farm Insurance, Tyrone Church of the Brethren, Mayor Jim Kilmartin and the Rotary Club of Tyrone.
