Free Thanksgiving meal

The management of DJ’s Cafe started a free Thanksgiving meal six years ago to help comfort and provide for the less fortunate in the community. They offer this service on Thanksgiving Day with their generous staff and many volunteers giving up time with their own families to keep this event alive.
In 2007, with the community’s help, DJ’s climbed to an astonishing 475-plus meals.
Meals consist of: roasted turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, corn, cranberry sauce, roll and butter, dessert and milk.
The staff and volunteers prepare all the meals on-site and then deliver them free of charge to families.
