The 25th Annual Rotary Farm/City Day is scheduled for tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Farm/City Day, which is typically held at Reservoir Park, is going to be held downtown this year, so don’t miss it!
Organizers say the event was moved for this year only because the Borough of Tyrone is currently working on rebuilding Pavilion No. 1 at the park, and the event will return to Reservoir Park for next year’s festivities.
This year’s Farm/City Day will be held in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, between 10th and 11th Streets.
Watch for Farm/City Day parking signs since there will be designated parking places for the day that will be clearly labeled, and free!
Come rain or shine, there will be children’s activities, entertainment at City Hotel Park, food and drinks, hay wagon rides, farm animals, farm machines, crafts, home-baked goods, produce, fundraisers, raffles, promotions, souvenirs, and more.
Tyrone Rotary’s famous chicken barbecue dinners will also be available for purchase.

Also as a fundraiser for Tyrone Rotary, a wooden eagle sculpted by chainsaw artist Tim Klock will be raffled off at $2 per ticket, or three tickets for $5. The drawing for the winning ticket will be held at 3 p.m. on Farm/City Day at the Rotary chicken barbecue stand. To view the eagle sculpture, stop by Rhonda’s Retreat at 1018 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Raffle tickets may be purchased at the office of the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce or at Rhonda’s Retreat. Tickets will also be sold at the Farm/City Day event. You do not have to be present at the drawing to win.
And for all the Penn State football fans out there, a raffle of two tickets to the Michigan game on Saturday, October 18 will be conducted on Farm/City Day. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or three tickets for $10. All proceeds will go to Tyrone Rotary to be used toward its college scholarship fund for Tyrone Area High School students.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy a day of family fun with the Rotary Club of Tyrone!
