Central Mt. tops Eagles

The Tyrone Lady Eagle Volleyball team lost to Central Mountain Tuesday night in straight sets, 25-10,25-10 and 25-17.
The Lady Eagles continue to improve as they play teams the second time around.
Tyrone was led by Chelsie Santoni with her numerous digs and Kristen Fry, who made an outstanding play from well beyond the back line to score a point.
“That’s what we are looking for,” Coach Jim Cushion said after the game, “We need people going for every ball every time. We got that tonight.”
Kristin Gearhart had a big night with four blocks and three kills as her play at the net improves every game.
“Our serving game is getting better but it is not where I would like it, but we are definitely getting there,” Coach Cushion added.
Suzanne Zimmerman kept Tyrone within reach in game three with six service points and Jess Thomas had numerous saves from the back row.
Tyrone plays at home vs Penns Valley on Thursday night.
