Robert (Bob) C. Price

Robert (Bob) C. Price, 83, of Brookline Village, State College and formerly from Highland Drive, Tyrone, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Littleton Adventist Hospital, Littleton, CO. He and his wife were visiting his son and family when he became ill and subsequently died of cardiac arrest.
He was born January 24, 1925 in Tyrone, a son of Esplin and Lottie C. (Benton) Price. He married Lois Anne Keatley on July 15, 1946 in Philadelphia.
Surviving are his wife, a son Robert A. (Lisa) of Littleton, Colorado; four grandchildren, Dawn Hevner, Laurel, DE; Kristin Tomsic, Leesburg, VA; Sarah and Emily Price, Littleton, CO; a great-grandson Ashton Hevner; three sisters, Peggy Lou Reeder of State College; Donna Henry and husband John of Philipsburg and Kay Damico and husband George of Tyrone.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Tyrone, Tyrone VFW, a life member of the Tyrone Elks and a founding member of Sinking Valley Country Club.
Mr. Price retired in 1987 from Westvaco, Tyrone as Quality Control Inspector and offset press operator following 44 years service.
He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict serving on board a destroyer as a machinist mate second class.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 3, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 1795 W. College Avenue, State College, with the Reverend Charles Fitzgerald officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1200 Logan Ave., Tyrone, PA, 16686.
