Tyrone Hospital’s inpatient rehab service to be discussed at senior center

The public is invited to attend a presentation on Tyrone Hospital’s Interim Care program which provides short term inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. The presentation will be held at the Tyrone Senior Community Center on Wednesday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The program will be presented by Christine Illig, LPN, Interim Care Coordinator and Annette Lynn, Director of Social Services and Case Management at Tyrone Hospital and Shelley Hanczar, OTR of ProCare Rehabilitation at Tyrone.
The Interim Care program may be of benefit to people who have been hospitalized for surgery, joint replacement, stroke or other illnesses or injuries. Those who attend the presentation will have an opportunity to meet some of Tyrone Hospital’s Interim Care staff, learn who is eligible for the Interim Care program, learn about the type of care the program provides, how to get transferred to Tyrone Hospital’s Interim Care program from another hospital, what insurances pay for Interim Care, and get answers to any questions they may have.
The program is free to the public and open to people of all ages.
The Tyrone Senior community Center is located at 503 3rd Street in Tyrone.
Accessible transportation is available by calling 695-3500 (1-800-458-5552) by June 18.
Those 60 or over are invited to stay for lunch. Please reserve lunch by calling 684-7853 by June 18.
