Hatch, Eagle 400 relay top-seeded at D-6AA

The Tyrone and Bellwood-Antis track teams will participate in the District 6-AA Track and Field Meet at Mansion Park this afternoon beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Bellwood-Antis senior Ben Hatch is the top seed in both the 400 dash (51.04) and 800 run (1:57.35), while the Tyrone quartet of Shane Emigh, Johnny Franco, Brandon Gehret and Larry Glace is seeded first (44.30) in the 400 relay.
Golden Eagle junior Kyle Updyke (6-3) is the second seed in the high jump, and B-A junior Lance Hughes (15.54) is the third seed in the 110 high hurdles. Ben Ingle (4:26.50) is seeded third in the 1600 Run. The Bellwood-Antis 1600 relay team (3:34.04), composed of Hatch, Dustin Pruznak, Alan Wertz and Kyle Canfield is seeded third
Tyrone has qualified: Ross Black-110 HH, Dustin Elder-1600 and 3200; Shane Emigh-Long Jump, Triple Jump, 400 Relay; John Franco-100, 400 Relay; Brandon Gehret-300 IH and 400 Relay; Larry Glace -Long Jump, Triple Jump, 200, 400 Relay; Jerrod Good-Shot Put; Robbie Hopkins- Pole Vault; Ben Ingle- 800, 1600, 3200, 400; Nathan Kruis- 800; Mark Mingle-Shot Put; Levi Reihart- High Jump; James Russell-Pole Vault; Richard Stever-1600, 3200; Shane Tate-400 Relay; and Kyle Updike-High Jump, Long Jump in the boys competition.
On the girls side, Tyrone has Christina Daugherty-3200 Relay; Ashley Food- 3200 Relay; Lizzie Shields-200, 400, 3200 Relay; Sarah Halter-3200 Relay; and Ashley Salyer-3200 Relay.
Bellwood-Antis has also qualified: Hatch-1600 Relay; Patrick McCloskey- 110 HH, 300 IH; Hughes-300 IH, Triple Jump, 400 Relay; Josh Kalinowski-100, 400 Relay; Kyle Canfield-400, Pole Vault, 1600 Relay; Dustin Pruznak-1600, 1600 Relay, 3200 Relay; Kyle Harrity 110 HH, Triple Jump; Travis Taylor-1600, 3200, 3200 Relay; Alan Wertz-400, 1600 Relay, 3200 Relay; Jeff Stuby- 1600; Jon Thompson-800, 3200 Relay, Cooper Campbell-3200; Anthony Jenkins-Shot Put, Discus, Tyler Geis-Shot Put, Discus; Timmy Collier-Long Jump; Deryk Montgomery-Triple Jump; Cody Fink, Pole Vault; Danny Noye- Pole Vault; Brandon Humphreys- 400 Relay; Zach McCaulley- 400 Relay; Tyler Lucas-Javelin; Bobby DeArmitt-Shot Put.
The top three, plus any who meet the state-qualifying time or distance or height, will advance to the PIAA State Meet at Shippensburg University, on May 23-24.
District 6-AA Track and Field time schedule
3:30 p.m.: 3200 relays.
4:00 p.m.: Trials in the hurdles, 100, 200.
Finals for 300 IH are in between 100 and 200 prelims.
Finals start at 6:00 p.m..
4:00 p.m.: Field events.
