Tonight’s the night! Tyrone-Snyder Public Library’s seventh annual concert takes center stage

Tonight, the Tyrone-Snyder Township Public Library will deliver its seventh annual fund raising concert on the Tyrone Area High School auditorium stage.
Tonight’s show, “A Salute to the Legends”, shows all of the promise of being another winner for the library and the Tyrone community.
“This year we are stepping outside the box that we have been utilizing the past six years. We are presenting a ‘Salute to the Legends’ show with professional impersonators bringing such greats to our stage as Buddy Holly, Gene Pitney, Cher, Rodney Dangerfield and Nat King Cole. In addition, we are going to offer a very special ‘Lucky Seven Surprise’ for all of those that are in attendance this evening to celebrate our seventh annual show,” said Chuck Banas, library concert chairman.
There are still tickets available for the this year’s concert and may be purchased up until 2:30 p.m. today at Bressler’s Food Mart & Sports and Kopp Drug. The Tyrone-Snyder Township Public Library will have tickets on sale until they close early for the concert at 4 p.m. today. Tickets will also be available at the door in the ticket booth located in the Tyrone Area High School auditorium lobby.
“There is something that we want to point out for all of those that are attending the show this evening. The front doors of the high school auditorium will not open until 6:30 p.m. for the general public, so please do not come much earlier than that expecting to walk into the high school. There are many, many last minute preparations taking place and we need that time to secure and tape down all of the chords and wires that may be in the auditorium.
“The last few years we have worked around early comers and we need to have all that time to make it the best we possibly can for everyone in attendance. The last thing we want to have happen is for someone to trip and fall over something that we have not had a chance to secure,” said Banas.
“So please be aware that the front doors of the school will open to the lobby of the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. sharp. All of the tickets are reserved seating and we will have plenty of time to get everyone seated by our 7 p.m. sharp start date. I want to thank everyone in advance for their cooperation in this area,” added Banas.
Also, the library is very happy to announce that three local business sponsors have come forward to tri-host this year’s show.
“I want to again thank this year’s tri-hosts of our concert, Albemarle Corp., Gardner’s Candies and M&T Bank. It is sponsors like these three companies that make it possible for us to bring such a great evening of entertainment for this great cause right here in Tyrone,” added Banas. “I also need to say a big thank you to all of the other local business patrons who have taken ads out in our program and purchased their blocks of tickets. Each year they come through for us and I want them to all know how very much we appreciate their support. The only thing remaining for all of us now is to have a great time together tonight.”
