Storefronts have added holiday touch!

Earlier this week, TAHS Art Studio students under the direction of art teacher Mr. Eric Feather began painting and decorating six of the storefronts of businesses in downtown Tyrone. Those businesses included: Tyrone Chamber of Commerce, Joshua House, JoyBeans, Tyrone Electronics, I-99 Antiques and the vacant News Agency storefront. With the eagerness of Mayor James Kilmartin and TAHS Principal Tom Yoder and Mr. Feather to take on this project on late notice, the art students accomplished a tremendous and beautiful feat in just two days. The downtown storefront decorating hopes to be an annual project between the borough and school district, with plans to decorate even more business windows next year. Please take the time to admire and thank all the students for their wonderful artwork that helped brighten the holiday season downtown. (The Daily Herald/Kris Yaniello)
