Michael Lee Snyder

Michael Lee Snyder, age 61, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 15, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Tyrone, PA, Mr. Snyder lived in various places before settling in Fairless Hills, PA, 27 years ago. He attended Shippensburg State College for two years and played Middle Linebacker for their football team. Later, he graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology where he earned a B.A. in Business Management and a B.S. in Computer Science.
He was a former employee of U.S. Steel Fairless Works, and later retired from the State of New Jersey doing what he loved; working with computers. He was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam era. Mike was an accomplished golfer who won numerous tournaments and awards.
He was a likeable, easygoing man who loved interacting with people. He was also very determined and goal-oriented. He loved all sports, the outdoors, and hunting; but most of all he loved his family who are deeply saddened by his loss.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years Barbara (nee Williams); his children Marcia Snyder of Bensalem and Michael Snyder of Fairless Hills; his sister Sharon Dannaway and her husband Charles of Tyrone, PA; his niece Julie and nephew Eric, as well as other family, friends, and workmates.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 22, at 1p.m., at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Memorial talk will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
