Thomas K. Montgomery

Mr. Thomas K. Montgomery, age 79, of 810 W. 15th Street, Tyrone and a guest at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home died Friday, November 16, 2007 at 7:57 a.m. at the home. He was born October 15, 1928 in Batavia, NY, the son of Ralph Stuart and Virginia Snyder Montgomery and was raised in Williamsport, PA. On July 9, 1956 at Baltimore he was married to Mary Sue Frain who survives. Also surviving are three daughters and two sons – Gina of Tyrone, and Barbara, Ellen, Michael and David, and daughter-in-law Kim, all of Baltimore, MD. He was the beloved grandfather of Austin and Kristen Montgomery. Also surviving is a brother William (Linda) Montgomery of Atlanta, GA and a sister Jane Davis of Fullerton, CA and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother John and a sister Sue.
He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Lycoming College. He retired in 1984 from Bethlehem Steel as Supervisor in the Rod and Wire Division. He was a veteran of service in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II. He held membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Baltimore, MD.
At Tom’s request there will be no viewing or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Arnold Hall Building, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
