‘Christmas Lighting Fund Appeal’ under way

With the holiday season upon us, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Christmas Lighting Fund Appeal” to bring the community another year of fantastic decorations, lights and festivities is now under way.
In the past years, with the help of generous donations from the community, the Chamber of Commerce was able to light the streets of Tyrone.
Past support has made possible the purchase of snowflake banners, stars, bows and two sky liners.
It is the hope of the Chamber to continue with the tradition of making the Tyrone community a centerpiece of northern Blair County by again decorating the beautiful community for the holiday season.
This year, the Chamber has purchased 32 holiday banners to add to previous purchases. These banners will be located on Pennsylvania Avenue and 10th Street as well as intersections throughout the downtown area.
The “Christmas Lighting Fund” is only one of many ways that the Chamber of Commerce of Tyrone area shows its commitment to the enhancement of the community.
At this time, the Chamber is asking everyone to be a part of the “Christmas Lighting Fund Appeal”. By making a monetary donation to the “Christmas Lighting Fund” you can make a difference in the life of the people of Tyrone.
Please make checks payable to Tyrone Christmas Lighting and mail to: Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, 1004 Logan Avenue, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
A coupon for the “Christmas Lighting Fund” also periodically appears in The Daily Herald and will run throughout the holiday season as a reminder for those wishing to give to the fund.
