Knight wins the day

The Tyrone BassMasters held their eighth tournament of the year on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. Tough fishing was the norm once again, as it has for many of the recent tournaments.
Jay Knight of Boalsburg, took top honors with a four-fish limit of 5.21 pounds. Jay also carried away the Lunker Award with a 2.20-pound largemouth bass.
Just one-hundredth of a pound back in second place was Big Dan Garber, of Grazierville, with a total of 5.20-pounds with three bass. The third place award went to Jim Kaspick of Tyrone, with two fish tipping the scales at 3.30 pounds.
Randy Rawlings, of Mill Creek, clinched the Club championship with his fourth-place finish, weighing in two fish for a combined weight of 2.84 pounds.
Tyrone BassMasters still have two regular tournaments remaining to fish, plus their Club Classic.
The next tournament will be held at Sayers Lake on Sunday, Sept. 23, with a 6:30 a.m. launch.
The Tyrone BassMasters will also be at the Tyrone Sportsmen Club Field Day on Sunday, Sept. 16.
