Fink cranks a win at Sayers

On Sunday, Sept. 23, the Tyrone Bassmasters took to the waters again as they fished Tournament # 9 at Sayers Dam. The fishing remained tough as only seven of 13 anglers brought fish to the scales.
Bob Fink of Tyrone, took top honors, bringing in five fish that weighed a total of 8.44 pounds.
Second place in the event went to Randy Rawlings of Mill Creek. Randy weighed in a five-fish limit, all largemouth bass, totaling 6.75 pounds.
Tipping the scales at 6.23 pounds, minus a .13 pound penalty for a dead fish, Rick Bradford of Bald Eagle took third place with four largemouth bass.
Metz Weko of Water Street, won the Lunker Award with a largemouth weighing in at 3,59 pounds that was also good for fourth place. This was the first tournament of the season that no angler boated a smallmouth bass.
The next event will be held at Raystown Lake, on Oct. 6, with a 6:30 a.m. shove-off.
The Tyrone Bassmasters Club would like to thank all the future young anglers that showed up and participated in the kids casting contest held during Field Day at the Tyrone Sportsmen. We hope more will show up next year. Also we would like to thank Ed Henderson, Rick Bradford, Dale Frye and Jim Kaspick for representing the Club and holding the contest as well as running the casting all day.
