Diary from football camp

I think we picked it up good today. We just need to keep it up, keep it going. Yesterday wasn’t exactly the best, we picked it up and did a lot better. We came out this morning to get in some extra offensive practice, today it looked like everybody knew what they were doing. Everybody was a little more concentrated, the second team knew what they were doing a little better.
I’m trying to do the best I can to help with leadership, trying to be motivational, keep everybody up and moving.
I think we are attacking better and people seem to know what they are doing better this week (since Saturday’s scrimmage).
The mornings and afternoons of lifting weights and watching films lets us know what we should be doing, what we shouldn’t be doing and what the other teams are doing. It helps us to keep up with our strength and makes us a better team.
Choosing offense or defense is a tough question. I like offense because you get to score touchdowns, but I like defense because you get to tackle people and rough them up a little.
My buddy is Tyler Hertzler. I like the buddy system, everybody gets to know each other better. In a small town like this, usually everybody knows each other, but if there are new kids, then it helps to get you know them.
The Bellwood game means a lot. It’s a rivalry game. It’s something you know you need to win. Especially your senior year, you don’t want to go the rest of your life saying we lost one of the most important games in your life.
