Auditions to be held for the Tom Riley Musical Theater Company

The Tom Riley Musical Theater Company will hold auditions for new cast members Thursday, August 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Church in the Middle of the Block, 217 5th Avenue in Altoona.
“Attention teenagers in ninth to twelfth grades who like to sing, dance, and act,” announced Anthea L. Germano, publicist for the Tom Riley Musical Theater Company. “No preparation is necessary but come prepared to move and to experience camaraderie and personal growth through the performing arts,” Germano said.
The Tom Riley Musical Theater Company consists of teenagers from Blair and surrounding counties. Formerly known as The Tipton Creek Musical Theater Company, the group was renamed in honor of media personality Tom Riley who died in November 2005. In September 2004, Riley co-founded The Creative Youth Theater Foundation which includes a drama-based group of teens from Middleburg, Virginia and the local Tom Riley Musical Theater Company. The Creative Youth Theater Foundation provides classes and performance opportunities as well as educational resources and financial assistance to teenagers interested in the performing arts.
