Beginning today, July 16, PennDOT will be getting surface replacement and repairs on two Tyrone area roadways.
Traffic will be limited to one lane on State Route 453, just south of Tyrone for less than half a mile and on State Route 1012, more commonly known as 10th Street. This will be completed using flag person control.
HRI, Inc., of State College was awarded the contract of $509, 785. This project is funded with 100 percent state money and is scheduled for completion in late October.
Another area that will be limited to one lane for road construction will be a section of Interstate 99. The area under construction will begin just south of the Tyrone exit and will end just north of the Bellwood exit.
