Kenneth Raymond Heaton

Kenneth Raymond Heaton, 78, of 2 W. 11th St., Tyrone died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at his residence.
He was born July 24, 1928 in Tyrone, a son of Lester R. and Blanche M. (Miller) Heaton. On November 14, 1950 in Tyrone he married Ruth L. Spacht.
Surviving are his wife, a son Daniel and wife Patti of Glenville, Georgia; three daughters, Kathy E. Sherry and husband David P. of Bald Eagle, Barbara J. Bumbarger and husband Thomas W. of Huntingdon, Sandra R. Dunn and husband Stephen of Bellwood; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a step-grandson; a step-granddaughter and a brother Roy James Heaton of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a brother John L. Heaton.
Mr. Heaton retired on disability in 1978 from Westvaco, Tyrone following 25 years service. He was previously employed at Illinois Central Railroad and Pennsylvania Railroad.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he belonged to the Men’s Bible Class. He also was a member of Tyrone F&AM, Lodge No. 494, Valley of Altoona Consistory, Jaffa Roadrunners, Jaffa Ushers, Jaffa Railroaders Club and Tall Cedars.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Barry Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
