Milliron nearly perfect against Tyrone Legion

ALTOONA–ReMax Realty scored five runs in the second inning and finally closed out Tyrone Legion 10-0 when Nic Perehinec doubled home Anthony Williams in the sixth inning.
Brent Milliron had a perfect game into the top of the sixth inning until Mike Moore singled to center, and Josh Clark followed with a double. The double was seemingly a RBI triple, but umpires ruled the ball bounced out of play, thus was a ground rule double and Moore had to return to third, and Milliron escaped the inning unscathed.
“We were short-handed today, as we have been for awhile, and we just needed someone to eat these innings while we prepared for some very important games this weekend,” Tyrone Legion manager Mike Boytim said. “When you play eight days in a row, and you only have nine players at each game, you have to pick your battles, but Josh Clark and Brock Anders pitched a lot better than the numbers might lead you to believe.”
Williams, Milliron, Max Sheedy and Adam Johnson each had two hits to lead ReMax, with Sheedy, Williams and Johnson each including a double. Williams ended up with three RBI and Johnson counted two RBI.
Tyrone Legion continued on the long road tonight, playing the third of eight games in eight days, by hosting Juniata VFW at the Harry K. Sickler Athletic Park at 6 p.m.
