Upcoming Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce events

The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce has scheduled several events for the month of June.
The next Chamber breakfast is scheduled to be held at Joe’s Place on Thursday, June 14 at 7:30 a.m.
The featured speaker will be Ben LaParne, Assistant District Executive of PennDOT Construction from District 2.
He will present a power point presentation and discussion on the current activity on I-99.

Also, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce and Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center have joined together to present “Basics of Selling on eBay”.
Most people have heard of others making money selling their wares on eBay. Its popularity has skyrocketed and the momentum isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
Those interested should attend this seminar to learn how to get started on selling their items on eBay.
At the seminar, participants will learn how to set up an eBay account, create an eBay listing, take digital pictures, price an item, use PayPal and ship items.
The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at Burley’s Restaurant, Tyrone. Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The cost is $20 per person and that includes breakfast and all materials. Seating is limited. For more information, on the seminar call 684-0736 or email
Finally, this month’s Business After Hours, hosted by Tyrone Colonial Courtyard, is scheduled for Thursday, June 28 from 5:15 to 7 p.m.
Everyone in attendance will enjoy a summer concert in the courtyard presented by Dan and Galla.
Light refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
